8 Avon, MN Avon, MN Full-time Full-time $22 - $28 an hour $22 - $28 an hour 4 days ago 4 days ago 4 days ago Summary Under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Clerk performs general clerical work and assistance to assure the smooth operation of the Maintenance, Production and other departments throughout the Company.
This position will work collaboratively with other department members to maintain accurate data associated with purchasing, inventory control , building and preventative maintenance.

Must support and implement ideas that keep machine operators at their work stations.
4.
Place purchase orders for maintenance and other various departments, and track the delivery of product to ensure it arrives on time while keep the department informed of the status of the order 5.
Review, track, file and close work orders daily along with all repair order data entry using the Maintenance database system.
6.
Serve as backup to Maintenance database system administrator, including typing in new PM tasks, analyzing work order comments to determine reason for equipment failures, etc.
7.
Enter parts from log out sheets and maintain inventory control of maintenance parts and supplies.
8.
Prepare reports, charts, summary of maintenance activities, downtime machine history.
9.
Plan/coordinate PM routine and scheduling with production team for scheduled downtime for maintenance.
10.
Work with vendors regarding any inventory, billing, delivery issues, etc.
11.
Assist Maintenance Supervisor and Maintenance Department as needed with generical clerical work, data entry, other projects and duties as assigned, as needed.
12.
Other duties may be assigned.

Education and/or Experience High School Education, plus two years general machine shop experience and/or vocational training.
Language Skills - Ability to read and understand documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write standard documentation.
Ability to communicate effectively with other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
Reasoning Ability - Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
